Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Satsu, a cookieless web-analytics service provided by Yousif Paulus, Graf-Adolf-Straße 2, 51065 Köln, Germany (“Satsu”, “we”). By creating an account you accept these terms.

1. The service

Satsu lets you measure traffic to your websites without cookies or personal data. Features and limits depend on your plan; we may improve and change the service over time.

2. Account

You need an account to use Satsu. You are responsible for your login credentials and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be legally able to enter into these terms.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Satsu to collect personal data through custom event properties or otherwise,
• track websites you do not own or are not authorized to track,
• attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorized access to the service,
• use the service unlawfully or to infringe others’ rights.

We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Plans, billing and the free tier

Satsu offers a free tier and paid plans. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance for the chosen period through Stripe, which acts as Merchant of Record and issues your receipts. Prices are shown on our pricing page. Plan limits (such as monthly events) are soft: we keep collecting your data and never delete it for exceeding a limit — we may ask you to upgrade.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a paid plan at any time; it remains active until the end of the current billing period, after which it does not renew. Statutory withdrawal rights for consumers remain unaffected.

6. Your data

You own your analytics data. We process it to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data, and delete your account, at any time.

7. Availability

We work to keep Satsu available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may perform maintenance and, where reasonable, will try to minimize disruption.

8. Warranty and liability

The service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation, and limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Mandatory statutory liability (including under the German Product Liability Act) remains unaffected.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; we will notify you of material changes. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. Where permitted, the place of jurisdiction is Köln, Germany.
